Nicole Simunovic
Nicole is the Research Manager for the MacSports Group at McMaster University and Managing Editor for the Journal of ISAKOS Joint Disorders and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine . Nicole completed her BSc at Queen’s University and MSc in Health Research Methodology (Clinical Epidemiology Designation) at McMaster University.
Andrew Duong
Andrew is the Projects Manager for the MacSports group . After completing his Bachelors in Molecular Biology, he moved to studying microbiology and infectious diseases for his Masters. He transitioned in clinical research, joining the McMaster Orthopaedic Research team, where he worked on various projects within orthopaedics before moving onto developing and coordinating clinical trials in Sports Medicine with MacSports. He is also the Co-Founder of a non-profit focused on infectious disease education.
Mansi Patel
Mansi is a Research Coordinator for the MacSports group. She received her BSc, in Honours Biology, from McMaster University in 2021. Afterward, she pursued her MSc in Health Research Methodology, where her thesis concentrated on reducing postoperative opioid use after arthroplasty. Her interest in clinical research grew during her undergraduate and graduate studies, and she has completed numerous orthopaedic and pain management projects before moving on to working on clinical trials with MacSports. Mansi also enjoys hiking and photography.
Vincent Milantoni
Vincent is a Research Assistant that works with the MacSports research group within the Department of Surgery at McMaster University. He graduated from the McMaster Bachelor of Health Sciences Program in 2023. Throughout his undergraduate degree, he developed a passion for clinical research and now works on a variety of hip and knee related studies. While at McMaster, he played on the Men’s Varsity Lacrosse team. He still enjoys a variety of sports including endurance running.
